Norwich law firm Clapham and Collinge has widened its Norfolk presence by opening a third branch in Brooke (incorporating Ashmole Solicitors) in south Norfolk. The move coincides with the firm’s 60th anniversary and an expansion of its north Norfolk office.

With offices in Norwich, Brooke and Sheringham, the firm is constantly expanding its workforce and currently employs 60. Lin Whitehead, partner and head of Private Client Department, said:  “A key part of our strategy for this important year has been to broaden our south Norfolk presence to demonstrate our continued and growing commitment to the county. The opening of our South Norfolk office in Brooke provides us with the base from which to service our local clients, putting us in an ideal position to continue providing the very best legal services right across Norfolk.’’

Clapham & Collinge offers legal services including property, divorce, wills and probate. The firm also advises on mental health issues and contentious probate. Tammy Parnell, the firm’s managing partner is one of the few local solicitors qualified to advise on this area.

Tammy Parnell said: “Nowadays we have more complex families which means more people are involved in family inheritances, so there is often a greater willingness to challenge a loved one’s estate. It takes careful negotiation to resolve issues of this type and I am delighted I can now help people based in South Norfolk going through this experience”

For businesses, the firm offers services including business debt, litigation and disputes, employment law and commercial property. Bespoke legal advice packages are also available, designed to support businesses with their legal needs. The firm is also listed in the Legal 500 UK, the leading guide to law firms in the UK.

Clapham & Collinge is also actively involved in a range of local charities and community initiatives, supporting charities such as Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Break and The Benjamin Foundation, whilst developing and promoting its own events such as regular free advice mornings, dementia awareness events and training sessions.

Clapham & Collinge has been established in Norwich since 1955, and has a reputation for property, elderly care and litigation work.  The law firm now has five partners and a total of 60 staff in offices at Norwich, Brooke and Sheringham.
