Ipswich-based PR agency Genesis won two gold awards and a silver at the Anglia, Thames and Chiltern regional PRide Awards organised by the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

The firm won a gold for outstanding mid-size PR agency, gold for corporate and business PR and silver in the overall outstanding PR agency category.

The judges of the outstanding mid-size agency category said: “Genesis demonstrated clear business objectives and a real sense of where they're heading. The judges were highly impressed by Genesis' excellent commitment to professionalism and CPD, matched with a social commitment to local causes and institutions.”

The judges of Genesis’ entry in corporate and business category for Grant Thornton said : “A creative and well thought-out entry. It resulted in a good value for money campaign which delivered real return on investment, while demonstrating the value of PR in improving market position and helping develop the business. The campaign achieved impressive media results, including TV, and the entry displayed effective measurement and evaluation.”

Penny Arbuthnot, director of Genesis PR, said: “We’ve enjoyed a successful year to date and so are thrilled to be named the best mid-size PR agency as well as winning the top gong in the corporate and business PR category."  The awards were held at Homerton College in Cambridge.

Genesis was the only PR agency in the East of England to be nominated for the UK title of outstanding small PR consultancy of the year in the national CIPR Excellence Awards. The firm has recently expanded to 12 with the appointment of a new senior account manager, digital PR manager and the agency’s first PR apprentice. All employees have an individual training plan and in 2016 the agency has provided pro bono PR advice and support to Suffolk Mind.
